Caring For Your American Flag

Regardless of the quality, proudly displaying your American Flag will eventually take its toll. When your flag becomes old, worn, tattered, frayed or faded, it should be disposed of properly. According to USFlag.org, "When a flag is so worn it is no longer fit to serve as a symbol of our country, and should be destroyed by burning in a dignified manner."

Contact your local Boy Scouts of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, or the American Legion and, if they provide a flag retirement service, the flag can be dropped off and they will take care of the ceremony.

Fly your flag proudly and best wishes for
a safe and happy July 4th!
