THE USPS AND CHINESE SELLERS ARE CHEATING YOU!

Did you know that the United States Postal Service charges sellers shipping from China less than what they charge for packages shipped domestically? And, that because of those discounts it costs more for you or me to ship to a neighbor in the same town than it does for a Chinese seller to ship across the ocean?

Well, sadly, that is the truth.

In addition, the USPS loses money on EVERY Chinese package shipped to the United States. So, as the number of Chinese sellers that sell online continues to increase the USPS loses more money. How do they make up for those loses? By increasing the prices of domestic postage! That includes the price of postage stamps and the cost of shipping gifts to your loved ones.

While you may think it’s great that you are saving money buying from a Chinese seller, you are doing a great disservice to your own economy and ultimately yourself and your family. [Domestic] businesses pay taxes on the merchadise they sell. Those tax dollars are used by the government to invest in technology and education, major health programs, and to provide goods and services for the benefit of the American people. When you buy from a Chinese seller our government must make up the difference in lost revenue. How do they do that? They raise YOUR taxes.

So, before you buy another do-dad at a “great price” from a Chinese seller ask yourself, what is it REALLY costing me?
